Pablo Calamari – Don’t Make Me Wait

Download: Beatport

Back once again with the renegade master PABLO CALAMARI, as the Sydney-based legend returns to VICIOUS BITCH with the smoking hot house weapon “Don’t Make Me Wait”!

Packed full of up-beat moments and vibe for di clurrb, “Don’t Make Me Wait” kicks off with a underlying sub-driven bass line, off-kilter percussion fills and a truly future garage inspired mentality that sets the tone perfectly for the sweaty dance floors.

Carrying on from his successful 2-part “Bear Essentials” EP series in 2014 on VICIOUS BITCH, that saw the likes of AC SLATER, VANILLA ACE, THE SQUATTERS and FULL INTENTION supporting his tunes, we’re stoked to have Pablo back on board for yet another quality, jacked-up club release!

Remixing in fine form, UK’s JOSHUA steps up to the plate first with a remix that’s brimming with plenty of energetic piano riffs and classic 90’s organs, then rounding off the package to a tee we have a cheeky NY YARDIE edit from the man of the moment that’s truly fresh-to-death!

Latroit x Bishøp – Loving Every Minute

Download: iTunes

Off the back of remixing Kiesza‘s break out smash “Hideaway” to overwhelming plays and support as well as spins from big players Kaskade and Danny Howells (RADIO 1) on his original club weapon “More”,  LA-based/Detroit-bred producer LATROIT introduces the talents of Portland-based chanteuse BISHØP with the release of their outstanding collaboration single “Loving Every Minute”.

Somewhere between the industrial moodiness of a drive through downtown Detroit and a foggy morning in Venice Beach, this song owes its sound equally to its late night bassline melody and drum programming, as it does to Bishøp’s haunting, pained yet optimistic vocal performance.

Russian duo ZESKULLZ bring us their fourth release on VICIOUS BITCH, once again teaming-up their unstoppable production skills with vocalist PABLO DECODER to slam out their fresh as hell indie-styled house jam, “Devil”.

Going off the back of their previous Vicious Bitch releases “Scream Theme”, “Dope” and “Seahorse”, receiving some serious airtime on the radio shows of OLIVER HELDENS, MARTIN GARRIX and BENNY BENASSI to name a small few, this red-hot collab will once again give the heavyweights of the scene a run for their money whilst opening up the diversity of this exciting act.

On the remix front we enlisted up-and-coming Russian duo FORMALLY UNKNOWN who takes things down to a minimalistic and techno inspired take of the original, THE DUAL PERSONALITY leads us on a dark, future-driven cut and SIRKUS SIRKUZ delivers a deep club rework and an alternative mix on a nu-disco tip that completes the collection.

The Squatters feat. Little Nikki – Rude Boy

Laying down a brand new belter on VICIOUS BITCH, Northern UK duo THE SQUATTERS team up with London songstress LITTLE NIKKI on their very fresh single “Rude Boy”!

Hitting elements of UK urban sounds with their own brand of 4×4 bass-driven goodness, THE SQUATTERS production also harks back to the sounds of classic 90s house with the strings and organ to create a truly unique track. Topped off by raw attitude with a soulful delicacy in the vocal stylings of LITTLE NIKKI, this oozes with aural appeal hooking you in from beginning to end.

Backing up a solid list of credentials on both sides, THE SQUATTERS bring in a heavy flow of tastemaker support on their most recent EP’s from the likes of Bixel Boys, Eton Messy, Jack Beats and Charlie Tee (Kiss FM UK) as well as a cheeky free remix of ROUTE 94’s “Forget The Girl”, which garnered support from legends such as AC Slater, Annie Mac, Vanilla Ace, Tough Love, Low Steppa and Higher Self to name a small few. Including a pair of outstanding club remixes, Bristol-based VICIOUS BITCH artist REKTCHORDZ takes it deeper with some techno undertones and Los Angeles future house whiz-kid currently making waves on the scene, FAWKS counters by taking it to the peak time rooms with killer pianos and heavy bass line drop.

Big Boss – Desu EP

Following on from his genre-bending “WUT” EP, Melbourne’s eclectic beat-purveyor BIG BOSS is firing it up again on VICIOUS BITCH with his future bass driven 3-tracker “Desu” EP!

An all out Japanese-kitch inspired thrill ride of synth-heavy, alternative electronica at it’s finest. Leading with the beautifully executed “Hajimimashite”, which eases us into things with soft and engaging melodies building into a countered energy of chopped up trap and Jersey club influenced grooves. We are then treated to the title track “Desu”, following on in a BIG way with dischordal synth harmonies dropping into a simply hectic bass drop, then tying it off with “Tsundere”, a piano-led affair which bleeds into airy synth chords and a ferociously in-your-face drop.

Backing up the hype on his first 2 EPs, BIG BOSS really comes into his own here with a solid set of tracks showcasing his production evolution and oozing with pure originality… arigat?gozaimashita o tanoshimi kudasai!

Peking Duk – Say My Name

Download: iTunes | Spotify

Since breaking through with their hit single ‘HIGH’ at the beginning of 2014, PEKING DUK have flown high at the top of the charts, toured Australia from end to end and taken their special flavour of music to the world. Now the party-starting duo of Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles are set to unleash their anthemic new single ‘SAY MY NAME’, featuring the vocals of fellow Canberran, BENJAMIN JOSEPH.

The past 18 months have been nothing short of a whirlwind for Peking Duk. Having won Best Dance Release at the 2014 ARIA Awards for their breakthrough single ‘High’ featuring Nicole Millar, Peking Duk had the honour of achieving not one, but two tracks in the top five of Triple J’s Hottest 100 in January of this year – the DOUBLE PLATINUM selling ‘Take Me Over’ featuring SAFIA, and the TRIPLE PLATINUM selling ‘High’.

In June of this year, Peking Duk were the inaugural winners of the prestigious industry-voted Artist of the Year prize at the 2015 inthemix Awards, as well as ACT State Winners in the inthemix50 People’s Choice category.

Having sold out their ‘Peace, Love & Sweatiness’ 2014 Australian tour and smashed the main stage of Stereosonic, Peking Duk spread their wings to the US this year, making their debut performance at the hallowed grounds of the Coachella festival in California.

The Duk boys will soon return to the Splendour In The Grass stage with a brand new stage show and some very special surprise guests, before heading back to the US to appear at Lollapalooza in Chicago and Hard Summer in LA.

‘Say My Name’ will be released in Australia on July 10th and features the powerful vocals of Peking Duk compadre Benjamin Joseph.

“The song came together in a matter of minutes,” explains Adam. “We didn’t really overthink it or let anything get in the way. We had the main outline of the beat there in around 15 minutes, then we worked on the vocal melody and tightened the whole thing up back home in Canberra. We thought it would be fun to have a simple drum beat and chant driven song so we’ve had a bit of fun with it.”

So what’s in store for the rest of 2015? “Playing more shows, making more tunes and spreading the Duk love around the world,” says Reuben.

Be sure to catch Peking Duk live across Australia and the US this year and get ‘Say My Name’ now on iTunes or Spotify!
